Treasured

Once the pirate of my life,

Stole more than he should.

From time and the cosmos he stole

Some precious jewels.

And by the fear of them being lost

He shoved them in a chest

And titled it Remembrance

And buried it in the ocean of my Mind.

It has the treasure

Which none else would treasure

But is in truth dearest to me.

The treasure is of memories.

Of you and me.

Buried safe in the ocean of my Mind.
